Betty Green's Explanation of Direct-Voice Mediumship
George Woods and Betty Green recorded seances with Leslie Flint since 1955 without asking for compensation for their efforts. Betty Green created this tape explaining direct-voice mediumship. When refers to "this medium," she means Leslie Flint, the medium with whom she and George Woods sat for years.
At the end of the tape, Betty Green speaks, with some irritation, about the importance of everyone leaving immediately after the seance and not trying to carry on a conversation with the medium. The medium, she explains, is tired from the seance and needs to rest. From the change in the recording quality, it is obvious that this explanation was added later. The irritation in her voice indicates that they apparently just had a bad experience with someone trying to buttonhole Leslie Flint after a seance and she added the statement while the message and her emotions were still fresh.
