Nellie Wright: Serving in the Salvation Army

Nellie Wright spoke in a seance on July 11, 1966, with the medium, Leslie Flint. Nellie explained that she is in the Salvation Army, as she had been for fifty years on Earth, and that she lives with others who are either in the Salvation Army or have similar beliefs. In the afterlife, people find themselves together with others who have similar beliefs.

Nellie explains that she has never met Jesus but is sure he is there on a higher plane. She has no bible because she has it committed to memory, and she has read the chapters of the New Testament that were lost. She and her friends are waiting for the second coming of Christ when they will be resurrected and live in heaven.

Her seance shows that those in the afterlife can still become agitated and defensive about their religious beliefs. They don't suddenly become peaceful and tranquil when they drop off the physical realm. She has found herself with others who share her beliefs, so she is comfortable and peaceful in her afterlife. However, when her mother visits her, she attempts to help Nellie mature beyond her Earthly religious beliefs and Nellie becomes agitated. You will be able to hear her agitation when Betty Greene and George Woods press her about her beliefs.
